Foam packing, Wood crating and Palletizing charges will be determined according to the size of the item. Foam and/or palletizing charges mostly range from $25.00 to $75.00. Full crating (recommended when using large freight carriers like Yellow, Viking, GI, Old Dominion) mostly ranges from $75.00 to $250.00.

Information for Shipping from the U.S. to Canada

The following are the shipment clearance processes that are used when you ship to Canada from the US.

• PARS - Pre-Arrival Release System - Papers are faxed ahead before the driver arrives at the border.
• LIVE CLEARANCE - Driver clears shipment with the broker at the border face to face
• BOND - Daily is a bonded audit carrier that allows them to bond shipments to an in-land bond shed for clearance.

The following is a general guideline for the preparation of shipping documents on Canadian-bound shipments.

Either fill out a:

• Quick Clear Form - This form allows you to reduce the amount of paperwork involved in cross-border shipping since it replaces the need to complete the next three documents: the Bill of Lading, Canadian Customs Invoice (CCI), and Certificate of Origin.

or fill out these three documents:

• Bill Of Lading - Document to show description of goods with the shipper, consignee and name of Custom Broker if possible.
• Canadian Customs Invoice (CCI) - This document must match the bill of lading in respect to the number of pieces. The CCI must accompany the shipment from point of pick up to the point of customs clearance.
• Certificate of Origin - This document must also travel with the shipment and determines and identifies the producer of the goods and countryof. The Certificate of Origin is used by the broker to determine the correct rate of duty under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

Information for Shipping from Canada to the U.S.
